In the Beginning
This is just a bleep of an announcement regarding our long awaited BLOG: Life As We Live It.
My name is Sandra Salazar Carter. I've been designated "Historian" of this special friends group site. I suppose because I retired at an earlier age than the rest of our members, I sort of earned this title. Or was it because Trudy turned to the others this past October in Oregon and designated me to create some sort of living legacy for us to leave and enjoy?
Above is a pix of me and the Big Guy... aka my Husband, Rick. Ahh, the stories I have about the two of us, married thirty-four years this year. Believe it or not, the others in this group have been married longer, but enough on marriage. The BLOG is really focused on the continuing, well established friendship of over 25 years of moms/wives who bravely joined a parent's softball team in Claremont, CA.
This is our story... and we're sticking to it.

I am a daughter, a mother, a wife and a good friend. My life is blessed with a wonderful husband, two great sons, two beautiful daughter-in-laws and a very happy granddaughter. My hobbies are drawing, painting, gardening, cooking, knitting and golfing. I enjoy a good glass of wine or a large strawberry margarita... and a good book.
Family and Friends are a blessing and I cherish my time with them. I enjoy laughing and being silly, but I can be very serious too. The reason we are starting this blog is to keep record of our time together. The Gals have been a part of my life for at least 20 years and we have plenty of pictures to look back on. However, it would have been nice to keep a blog of our adventures, hence LIFE AS WE LIVE IT.
We recently returned from Paso Robles, were our good friend, Sandra and husband Rick, hosted our latest get together. We visited a few wineries and...
